You've heard the saying that greatness Is created when no one Is watching. At Skill Skool, we value the time outside the class as much as the content within. The designed homework Is aimed as a guide to help the soccer player practice on their own. Provide new ideas and challenge the player In many quantitative exercises to provide the challenge and motivation to touch the ball.

Each week we will provide guided homework that will have themed content for the class.

  • Juggle will provide a series of exercises for the beginner and the elite participant.
  • Technical will be exercises that maximize touches on the ball that will have been performed that week In class.
  • Touches to prepare for next week will better prepare the Individual on some of the themed fundamentals being Introduced In class.
  • Finally, we will provide a video of Skills/Soccer that the player can visually learn from. The love of the ball must extend to loving the game and visually, and mentally exposing the player to It away from training.

We aim to Inspire and motivate the player to touch the ball more. As parents encourage them to do so.

  • Many players commonly use the inside of the foot, which limits knee bend and foot speed compared to using the laces for striking.
  • While most players are square to the ball upon impact, diagram 1, 2, and 3 show that approaching the ball at an angle allows for optimal body rotation during the strike.
  • The positioning of the supporting foot plays a crucial role in striking the ball correctly with the laces. If the foot is too close, there is a tendency to use the inside of the foot instead.

Various styles are evident and are clearly subjective to the single opportunity they had in front of the camera. However, we have observed that to maximize the power of a strike, the player should use the instep or laces to kick the ball, with the support foot positioned next to the ball to facilitate the necessary rotation. If the support foot is too close, the strike usually involves the inside of the foot, causing the ball to veer left with the right foot and right with the left. The leg should be flexed at the knee so that the foot can accelerate through the ball as the leg snaps Into a straight position. The angle of the foot than Is such to keep the ball down.
